Matthew Saye Gono, a devout Christian who embraces the Bible, is a first-generation Liberian immigrant and the youngest of three siblings. He pursued his higher education at Wesley College in Dover, Delaware, and earned a bachelor's degree in legal studies from Delaware State University. After a four-year NFL career, playing for the Atlanta Falcons and retiring with the New York Giants in August 2022.
